As mentioned in my previous post, I've been catching up with the last 5 seasons of Dexter since the start of my winter break. Those who know me, know I love sick and twisted plots. My favorite movie saga is Saw. I own Saw I-XI on DVD. I didn't see Saw 3D because I don't believe in watching any movie in 3D unless it is a kid's flick. I'm not paying $20 bucks for a headache, no matter how much I love the saga. I'll probably watch it on Amazon and then purchase the DVD. Anyway, I digress...
I started watching Dexter because a lot of people around me seemed to be really into the Showtime series. Whenever I turned it on, I was confused and at a part where Dexter, the main character, was cutting someone up and I didn't understand why. I wanted to understand why so many people fell in-love with this serial killer. That is what he is, a serial killer... with a lot of baggage.
Thanks to my 1-month free trial of Watch Instantly Netflix, my Dexter addiction has spiraled out of control. I spent the past two weeks throwing my sleeping clock off by staying up until 5am to watch just "one more" episode. I'd find myself being so engulfed in Dexter's life and screaming at my computer screen when his dark secrets are almost revealed and wiping unpredictable tears off my cheeks when his relationship with Rita got sappy.
This show is good and a definite must-watch.
