Nom noms in Central Park
Well, my life has been thrown into a whirlwind. I snagged a job, won a very beautiful camera at an event, got paid and won the lottery. (Ha, just kidding about the last part. But HEY, you never know!) It's safe to say it's been a good week. I ended it with seeing a familiar face, my best friend who I haven't seen in over a month! We went to Dean & Deluca to grab food. While I was indecisive because I wanted to be sure I loved what I was getting--it was costing me a pretty penny, the BF and I gabbed about our lives as working girls (?!). We then walked over to Central Park, found a rock and popped a squat... in our dresses. I was wearing a maxi and her a short A-Line coral number.
Surrounded by crazy birds who wanted to eat our food and a family whose British accents gave away that they were not from the United States (they were aimlessly wielding a NYC map), Chelsea and I caught up. She's been living the life as a new beauty PR professional and loving it, catching her job shortly after graduation. For me, I had a lot of thinking in the post-graduate limbo. I thought a lot about what I wanted in life, if the career I'm chasing after is what I want, my goals, my perspective, my purpose, WHO WAS I?!?!?! Yeah. I went a little crazy but also got some clarity.
I learned that in order to achieve greatness, you must work tirelessly towards something you want. I'm a girl with many dreams. Seriously. I want to do so much and impact the world so hard, it intimidates me. Most importantly, I learned that you must chase after your dreams one at a time. Let one foster into something that is absolutely amazing and the rest will shortly follow behind.
